Peter, Anne and Chris Snelling look forward to welcoming you to The George & Dragon, a small 17th Century country pub serving real ales, real wine and good food.

The pub is located 400 yards off the A272 between Billingshurst and Cowfold.

The building, originally 3 separate cottages, has been a pub since the early 1820's. Low oak beams, an inglenook fireplace and a lovely large garden make this the perfect country pub that offers great beer and wine and excellent food.

The large pub garden is perfect for summer - there are many picturesque countryside walks and cycle routes surrounding the pub. The George & Dragon is the ideal place to start or finish one of the many walks and cycle ways in the area. Visit local attractions such as Shipley Windmill.

The George & Dragon has a reputation for high quality food. Fine food and a relaxed atmosphere have always been characteristics of our pub. The menu has a good choice of dishes using locally sourced ingredients and there is an additional specials board to widen the choice further. - Take a look at our menus. The pub is fairly small and therefore booking is advisable for weekend dining.
